CHOOSING PEACE: MIRACLES ARE DECISIONS
Published in Paperback by Xlibris Corporation (13 November, 2000)
Authors: Scott P., Ph.D. Anstadt, PhD, DCSW, CAC-2 Rev. Scott P. Anstadt, and Deb Byster
Average review score:

God is within all of us!
In Dr. Anstadt's book, readers are brought to the stark realization that God resides in all of us. As we look at each other we are starring into the face of God. Choosing Peace: Miracles are Decisions is a map for the personal journey of deepening your spirituality. Anstadt enables readers to draw closer to their creator using meditation, journaling, and visualization techniques (guided imagery).

Readers are able to assess their journey by taking the Peace Quotient Survey earlier on and upon completing the book. The book is divided into 10 chapters that serve as mini workshops. Each chapter requires time to digest and contemplate before moving to the next one.

While each chapter is important, chapter 6 which deals with forgiveness seems essential. Dr. Anstadt states that "without forgiveness, we fall into judgement". By forgiving we are forgiven allowing us to see a situation or others differently, prehaps in a loving way.

This is a must read for those on the spiritual road of a greater understanding of God our creator.

The Christmas Letters: A Timeless Story for Every Generation
Published in Paperback by Questmarc Publishing (October, 2000)
Authors: Bret Nicholaus and Scott Luken
Average review score:

Looking for a book for the whole family?
Yesterday Bret Nicholaus read "The Christmas Letters" at the school where I work. I was "hooked" from the very beginning. 100 grade schoolers sat without moving or talking throughout the reading. This book is truly excellent for family reading. Even the youngest members will more fully understand the meaning of Christmas after they have heard the story.

The chronicles of Krystonia
Published in Unknown Binding by ()
Authors: Beau Dix and Mark Scott
Average review score:

A good book
I first read this book when i was in junior high, it was well written and beautifully illustrated. It went along with a series of figurines, usually sold in the same shop. As i recall there were one or two more books in the series, but my memory eludes as to the titles. The book is a series of stories introducing the characters and places in the world of Krystonia. This would make a good children's book, especially for bedtime, none of the monsters are too terrible, having a rather, cute and cuddly pitch in the illustrations, and the evil people, are still rather funny.

Cider Vinegar
Published in Paperback by Benedict Lust Publications Inc (March, 1999)
Authors: Cyril Scott and John Lust
Average review score:

Look Ma ! No Limp!
Whoda thunkit. After living with Gout for ten years, Cyril Scott cures me in 93 pages. Although Scott touts cider vinegar as a pancea for the ages, resolving everything from Vertigo to thin toe nails, he does admit that it cannot counteract evil vices. This small book has proven itself in my single ailment alone and there are no side affects as there are with conventional chemical therapy. If I hadn't suffered for so long I never would have believed that a little fermented apple juice could be so amazing. This book can cure what ails you.

The Cinnamon Bears
Published in Paperback by Pere Bruin Press (01 April, 2003)
Author: Jeff Scott
Average review score:

Funny and Original
This is a really funny book. It's got talking animals and funny illustrations, like a classic children's book, but its also got a space story - a bit like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but with a better story. Also, the main character, the Red Fox is a cook, so there's lots of cooking. I was hungry after I read it. This will probably appeal to anyone who likes the Harry Potter type mixture of adventure with comedy. Very original and worth reading.

Circling the Divine: Spiritual Reflections for the Journey
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Chalice Press (15 July, 1998)
Author: R. Scott Colglazier
Average review score:

Inspirational collection of Sermons, Stories & Bible Verse.
This is an excellent collection of sermons and stories by Dr. Colglazier. "Sermons" are grouped by categories. Each selection contains a brief discussion of the topic, a Scripture reading, and a sermon text. An easy, relaxing read. Special phrases and ideas will stay locked in your mind and come back to remind you of the book at special times. Scott has a special way of bringing the Divine to the reader in a way that makes sense and relates to our lives. If you have had the opportunity to hear Scott talk or preach in person, his words will come alive for you and you will feel like he is talking with you instead of you reading his words. An inspirational and motivating book.

City Lights: Ministry Essentials for Reaching Urban Youth
Published in Paperback by Group Publishing Inc (01 December, 2002)
Authors: Scott Larson, Karen Free, and George, Jr. Gallup
Average review score:

full of valuable insights
Having recently finished a seminary urban youth ministry course, this is the one published text on our required reading list that I regard as worth buying. The authors of the essays are not ivory tower academics but rather are writing out of their own experience of working intensively with urban youth (note the emphasis here and in the title on urban youth; we're definitely talking inner city rather than suburbia). These insights are especially helpful for those unfamiliar with life in the inner city.
